First Impressions....Part 1 of 2

Now that I've had around 24 hours to play with the ASUS TF300 I wanted to share my impressions.

Part 1 of 2: Technical Stuff

The spec sheets directly from the ASUS site V/S Lenovo's A2109. As you can tell they seem to be pretty much neck to neck, even doing a line by line comparison from Best Buy. First I have to caveat this with the fact that Lenovo did a piss-poor job of publicizing this tablet, so much so that most retailers/reviewers didn't even know there was an micro sd card slot and none of them seem to agree on the product dimensions.( FWIW I used a Galaxy Tab 8.9 M-Edge case, and while the fit was snug it did fit. The A2109 is a bit bulky but I don't really think it was as thick as my Kindle fire 1st gen.) 
It seemed that the tablet was just being slammed for it's sub par screen and no one bothered much with the goodies under the hood. Ironically, not one of the reviewers, to my knowledge, commented on the known screen flicker issue I wrote about in a previous post. 

Also the ASUS is now running stock Jelly Bean, but the first 4 hrs it was on ICS so in part 2 I'll try to stick to the ICS experience.
